PVCC: Online Briefing
Welcome to Paradise Valley Community College's Online Briefing
Our goal is to support your efforts to complete classes while maintaining your busy life. To do this, the Center for Distance Learning offers courses in a variety of distance learning formats, or choices, to meet your learning needs.
At PVCC we offer courses in three different formats that vary by subject, schedule, comfort level with technology, time on campus, level of independence, and time management skills. Online classes are taken remotely: at home, in the PVCC computer commons, or anywhere you have access to the internet. Students must enroll in a course by the enrollment deadline (enrollment is limited) and begin on the first day of class. All course work must be completed by the official end date. Some online courses at PVCC can be self-paced or staggered start, while others can be structured 16-week format. Please check the Online Web Site to access information for each course.
Getting Started: Online Briefing and Canvas
Taking online courses can be very convenient for many people. However, before you enroll in your first online course, you want to make sure you are ready. We have created an orientation course for you to learn how to navigate Canvas and also review some sample modules from various instructors.
