Willow Creek Canyon along Willow Creek in eastern Arizona

Willow Creek flows through Willow Creek Canyon from left to right in the middle right portion of the upper image.  The lower image provides a helpful view from Google Earth of this transverse drainage looking to the west from the east.   Notice that several criteria have been noted for you on the image.  Use this information to determine the mechanism responsible for this transverse drainage.
