Teaching and Learning Philosophy:
I, like most instructors, believe that students should take responsibility for their own learning.
Having said that, I want to assure you, that my goal is to be available as much as possible to help you achieve "your" goal. I believe that students learn best by teaching others, and by practicing.
As Einstein said, and I paraphrase: " I am not smarter than others, I just work longer on a problem." Students tend to give up too soon, or don't spend enough time learning. It's not enough to be able to plug in numbers and get an answer. The most important thing you can accomplish is to understand a problem and be able to problem solve to arrive at an answer. Employers are looking to hire problem solvers, and I will do my best to help you to become one.
