Have a look around...
Have another look around... be patient... this one is worth the wait

Badwater: We made it, the final resting place of water that would have flown from Mt. Whitney to Death Valley's Bad Water, the lowest point in North America (-330 feet).  In this airplane view, notice the trail in the upper left hand corner.  You park next to the road and walk out on that trail. [Yes. You surely noticed another alluvial fan -- and a great example called the Badwater Fan.]

So walk out. Some students are willing to  hop into the salty water that leaves them covered in white salt when they get out. I need to drink more water, as you can see from my above panoramic image. But I wasn't stupid enough to drink from Badwater!

<>And if you've finished, I hope you enjoyed our trip (and after trip troubles) and look forward to seeing you at other geomorphological landmarks around the world, Rock On!
